EA, for all her flaws, wouldn’t let me run away from violin music when I really wanted to. Also electric violin is badass. When I disovered her in around 2004/2005, she had tailbone length hair with pink it it, dressed as a faerie with stripy stockings and violined and pianoed her way through original songs about Romantic poets and Shakespeare. Yeah it was kind of inevitable.  Saw her perform live in Brisbane in 2009. A formative evening.  Via Unintentional Hot Mess
